New to hockey, rusty, or experienced - get into it! Our adult program is for new and experienced players ages 21 and older. The game-only league plays on Sundays from 2:00-6:00pm at our East Fields at Our Lady of Hope Church in Sterling. We also organize to attend at least one tournament per season (optional). Choose from our competitive or recreational divisions; our recreational division provides some learning sessions. Men are allowed to play in both divisions; there is a two men per team limit. Which league do I choose? Both leagues are equally fun. There are no tryouts or practices but teams are created to foster healthy competition. Games are played 7v7 and are reffed. Our Rec League is for those players who are new to the sport or have not played in a long time and are looking to get back into it. Atmosphere is more relaxed as the focus is more on skills. There will be a 30-minute learning/skills session before games on Sundays. Our Competitive League is for those who have recently been playing either with us (either in Rec or Comp League), with other leagues, or have just come out of college. Atmosphere is more competitive than rec but we are not out to make Olympians out of ourselves either! Required Equipment Field hockey shin guards, mouth guards, and sticks are required at all times. LFHA jerseys are our mandatory league uniform and need to be worn during all games and tournaments. For games one team will wear black socks over the shin guard to distinguish the teams.
