LFHA Youth Program

Our youth field hockey program is for girls in 3rd grade (aged 8) and up. We will have three age divisions for girls in elementary, middle and high school; players will also be divided by level of experience. With our experienced coaching staff, our players learn the fundamentals of the sport via practices, scrimmages, and games.

Each season includes weeknight practices (1x a week per team, 1.5 hours long) with games on Saturday mornings. We will include additional pre-season clinics for new players, to get a head start on learning the sport. Teams also participate in area youth hockey league play days in the fall.

Our program emphasizes flexible schedule options and training so that girls may try field hockey while possibly continuing their current sport. As our association grows, will be continue to add playing opportunities including creating a competitive travel league as well as traveling to competitive tournaments.

LFHA Adult Program
New to hockey, rusty, or experienced - get into it!
Our adult program is for new and experienced players ages 21 and older. The game-only league plays on Sundays at our East Fields at NVCC-Loudoun Campus in Sterling. We also plan to attend at least one tournament per season.

Choose from our competitive or recreational divisions; our recreational division does provide some learning sessions. Men are allowed to play in both divisions; there is a two men per team limit for the competitive league with only one man allowed to play the field at a time. All players MUST wear shin guards and a mouth guard.
