USA Field Hockey is the national governing body for the sport of field hockey in the United States and is a member of the following international governing bodies of field hockey: United States Olympic Committee (USOC), the Federation Internationale de Hockey (FIH), and the Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF).

United States Olympic Committee (USOC)

The leader of the U.S. Olympic Movement, the USOC is the moving force for the support of Olympic and Pan American Games sports in the United States. The USOC is recognized by the International Olympic Committee as the sole agency in the United States whose mission involves training, entering and underwriting the full expenses for the United States teams in the Olympic and Pan American Games.

International Hockey Federation (FIH)

The world governing body for the sport of field hockey, the International Hockey Federation, or Fédération Internationale de Hockey (FIH) serves as the "guardian" of the sport. Working in cooperation with the national and continental organizations, the FIH helps to ensure consistency and unity in hockey around the world. The FIH not only regulates the sport, but is also responsible for its development and promotion in order to guarantee a successful future for the sport.

Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF)
